Standard Fee

The standard fee is $55 per 20 minutes of service.

Sliding Scale Fee Structure

In the interest of supporting access to care for all who need it, a tiered sliding scale is offered.

Which tier are you?

Please assess your level of access according to the chart below.

Tier 4 (Standard Fee)

This level is appropriate for people who identify with most of the following:

  • I have stable, adequate employment or do not need to work to meet my needs.
  • I am comfortably able to meet my basic needs (food, shelter, utilities, healthcare, childcare, transport).
  • I may have some debt, but it does not cause significant stress.
  • I have access to savings, insurance policies, or family resources in times of need.
  • I own my home, own other property, or rent a higher-end property, and can always pay for utilities.
  • I own or lease a new or lightly used car and can always afford fuel, insurance, and maintenance.
  • I have regular access to health care and a high quality health plan to offset costs.
  • I have investments or retirement accounts for future security.
  • I am able to pay for most of my “wants” and can usually buy items new.
  • I can afford to take time off for illness and take an annual vacation.

Tier 3

  • Most of the criteria for the full fee apply to me, BUT one or more of the following is also true:
  • I’ve had an unexpected change in income or security, such as a pay cut, job loss, significant hospitalization, illness, injury or disability, major car accident, new child, caregiving for elderly parent, divorce, death in the family
  • I have significant medical expenses, medical debt, educational debt, or child care expenses
  • I am currently enrolled full-time in school or training that limits my ability to work
  • I am newly graduated from school or new to the workforce and just beginning to accumulate savings
  • I am also a somatic practitioner, body worker, or mental health therapist (courtesy rate)

Tier 2

  • I am employed but at the lower end of the pay scale
  • I feel stress about basic needs but still manage to meet them
  • I struggle to clear debt and/or build savings, but have access to some resources (such as family support) in emergencies
  • I own or lease an older car that uses more fuel or needs more frequent maintenance
  • I have access to health care but have to budget carefully, or only have a high deductible health plan
  • I can buy some of my “wants” but rarely buy new items, or have to accumulate credit card debt for anything beyond basic needs
  • I can afford vacations, but have to space them out every few years
  • I can take time from work when I am sick, but multiple or prolonged illnesses would result in financial stress

Tier 1

  • I am unemployed or underemployed
  • I struggle to maintain access to health care, housing, food, child care
  • I am living paycheck to paycheck with no access to savings or family support
  • I have significant debt that can sometimes prevent meeting basic needs, or I can’t meet basic needs without credit card debt
  • I rent lower-end housing or have unstable housing, or sometimes cannot pay for utilities
  • I do not have a car, or often can’t afford fuel, insurance or maintenance
  • I qualify for government assistance
  • I have little or no expendable income
  • I cannot afford a vacation
  • Taking time off work for illness would be a financial burden
